“Whenever any human life at any stage is violently ended, it is tragic right?” Dolan said. “But when that person whose life is taken belongs to a faith, a race that has endured bigotry and hatred and persecution for millennia, a Jewish life, it’s worse. And when that violence occurs in a sanctuary consecrated to peace and unity and love and reconciliation, it’s nauseating. How appropriate that we New Yorkers, like those Pittsburgh 11, like Jesus, a faithful Jew, would come to a synagogue to pray.”
