The Yankees have made numerous moves this summer, none of which were big splash deals but all of which – like the additions of arms in J.A. Happ, Lance Lynn and Zach Britton — have improved the team in small ways. McCutchen falls under that category, giving the Yankees their second former NL MVP in the outfield and a player who should be able to alleviate some of the pain of missing Judge, which is, after all, what’s hurting them most right now.
