CB Trumaine Johnson, whom the Jets signed to a five-year, $72.5 million contract, was not in attendance for Tuesday’s voluntary practice. He participated in last week’s session open to media. Bowles said he knew Johnson would be absent and that Johnson isn’t injured. … LB Jordan Jenkins didn’t do much in practice because he was “nicked up,” per Bowles. … S Marcus Maye (ankle) will be held out through the spring but should be ready for training camp. … WR Devin Smith (knee) is out through the spring and his level of participation won’t be known until the start of training camp, Bowles said.
